Ferrari 575M Maranello

The Ferrari 575M Maranello is a two-seat, two-door, grand tourer built by Ferrari. Launched in 2002, it is essentially an updated 550 Maranello featuring minor styling changes from Pininfarina. The 575M was replaced by the 599 GTB in the first half of 2006.

Updates from the 550 include a renewed interior, but with substantial improvements mechanically, including bigger brake discs, a larger and more powerful engine, a different weight distribution, refined aerodynamics and fluid-dynamics and an adaptive suspension set-up (the four independent suspensions are also controlled by the gearbox, to minimize pitch throughout the 200-milliseconds shift time). Two six-speed transmissions are available, a conventional manual gearbox and, for the first time on a Ferrari V12, Magneti Marelli's semi-automatic (Electrohydraulic manual) 'F1' gearbox. The model number refers to total engine displacement in litres, whilst the 'M' is an abbreviation of 'modificato' or 'modified'.

For 2005, the company developed a new GTC handling package and Superamerica version (a limited run of 559 Retractable hardtop variants of the coupe), along with raising the power from 515 PS (379 kW; 508 hp) to 540 PS (400 kW; 530 hp).

Different kinds of services provided by auto Transport Company

Transporting cars requires special skill as well as equipment and insurance. You have to rely on auto transport services, if you want to ship your car to another city or state or country. By using their service, you may feel that your car is in safe hands and don’t have to worry. If you’re not bothered much about your vehicle you can select any auto transport company. However, since this is a valuable possession, you would prefer a valuable agency.

One question that may arise on your mind is how to find the best car shipping company for your car. You can search them on the net or check out in phone directories. You can visit company sites to get information about services and policies of each carrier. If you are still confused you can consult your friends who have experience with carriers, forwarders or brokers.

There are various car shipping companies that provide different kinds of services. You can choose a service based on your needs, budget and time preference.

If you’re planning to use cheap service for your car then go in for open carrier. In open carrier your car will be carried along with other vehicles. In addition, one disadvantage is your vehicle will be exposed to outer elements like sun, heat, snow etc which may damage your vehicle. On the other hand, if you choose enclosed carriers it may be a bit expensive compared to open carrier. One advantage is your car will be protected from outer elements.

If you give preference to convenience while transporting your vehicle, then you can choose door to door service. In this type of service, car transport will pick up your vehicle and drop it off to your place. In door to door service, auto Transport Company can travel on the streets to drop your vehicle near your residence. Otherwise they may call you to pick your vehicle from the nearest parking area to your place. They may call you to find out what time can you come to pick up the vehicle from the nearest parking lot. Although it is one of the best services, it may not fit your budget.

If you’re on a tight budget, choose terminal to terminal service as it is considered the best option. This service is cheap because vehicles are shipped in high volumes. You have to just drop off your car to their terminal and from there they will pick up your vehicle. They will drop your vehicle to the terminal near to your desire destination which will remain until you don’t pick it up yourself.

As you are given a choice, you can pick a vehicle transport service that can meet your requirements. It would be better if you pick up an auto carrier that provides insurance facility because if any damage happens to your vehicle while in transit you can claim from them.

Services offered by car transport companies

Door to door
Terminal to terminal
Enclosed car transport
Open car transport

There are certain companies in U.S that may ask you to make full payment in advance, while others may ask for a deposit. You can seek a contract clause that waives the cancellation fee if your car is not picked up by your auto shipping company within the time frame that you agree upon. It is not easy for an auto transport company to confirm a delivery date. Some clients may ask auto transport companies to pick up their vehicle on a specific date. Keeping this in mind, vehicle shipping companies will pick up your car and hold it at a secure location for an additional parking charge.

Get certain details before handing over the car to vehicle Transport Company:

Get vehicle inspection report from car transport company
Delivery information
Note down current mileage
Details pertaining to condition of the car

Get all the details in writing. Make sure your car is inspected while pick up and delivery. In case of damage, do get reimbursement for damages from auto Transport Company.

Get quotes of nearly 5-10 auto companies from Internet. You must enter all information correctly to receive the exact rate. Most auto transport quotes that you receive from various websites are for operable, standard passenger vehicles. For vintage cars extra money has to be paid because of its size and weight. Make sure you are licensed, bonded and insured. Read if possible reviews from other customers, paying particular attention to negative reviews.

Once you have short listed the companies, find out how they conduct business. Get information like pick up dates, price, transit time and conditions. Avoid low priced company. They will not provide proper facilities. Before signing the contract read it properly. Be aware of hidden fees that are listed in the small print on the contract. Do check that the company is a member of Better Business Bureau, bonded, licensed and Insured. You can find that this industry has many uncertain factors that can create delays such as waiting for earlier customers at pick up or delivery, weather, mechanical problems and road congestion's for multi car carriers. Do remember these things before selecting an auto transport company.
